Behold! Bruce Makowsky’s latest work has become the most expensive property on the market in the United States.

The luxury developer, known for his palatial homes as well as the opulent art and amenities that he designs and furnishes them with, is behind Bel Air’s most extravagant piece of real estate—priced at $250 million.

924 Bel Air Road, nestled in Bel Air Enclave, boasts 12 bedrooms, 21 bathrooms, and 38,000 square feet of space. Other amenities include 3 gourmet kitchens, a 40-seat movie theater, a massage studio and fitness center, and a showroom featuring $30 million worth of exotic automobiles. The 17,000 additional square feet of entertainment-ready outdoor space offers a pop-up outdoor movie screen, a helicopter pad, as well as sweeping views of Los Angeles.

Makowsky’s personal artistic vision is on display throughout the home—the 85-foot infinity pool is lined with glass tile, and each room features signature works of art and furnishings, designed by Makowsky himself.

The home’s list price shatters the previous record for a private residence, $150 million, at one time held by Aaron and Candy Spelling’s 56,000 square foot Manor in Holmby Hills. That estate, currently owned by British socialite and heiress Petra Stunt, has once again been listed—for $200 million.

Both residences are listed by Hilton & Hyland of Beverly Hills.
